About The Block Bois
Who are the Blockbois?
What inspires you?
How did you get into music?
Bean specifically discovered his urge to make music while listening to the Album “Speakerbox” by Outkast. “It was in sixth grade and I was just feeling the beat” he adds. The Blockbois have been influenced by many genres of music including but not limited to Country, Rock, Old School, Motown, R&B, and Rap.
What are your biggest influences in the music industry?
Some of the biggest influences of the Blockbois are T.I., 50 Cent, Eminem, SPM, Drake, Lil Wayne, Biggie 2Pac, Eazy E, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Joyner Lucas, Lil Dicky, and Tech N9ne.
What is your music making process like?
The music making process for the Blockbois is based on emotion. They listen to the beat or instrumental of their choice and let the creative process begin. They are relentlessly consistent as they go to the studio 2-3 times per month. The studio of their choice is “Certified Hit” located in Englewood, Colorado.
What message do you want to spread to your fans?
The Blockbois do not necessarily focus on a message they would like to send at any one given moment. Instead, they focus on relating to others in hopes that people can sit back and simply say “damn I feel that” or “damn I’ve lived that”.
What projects are you working on now?
The Blockbois are currently finishing up their first mixtape. After that, they plan on working on original projects that you could sit back and relax to while taking a puff. An Album release date will be posted soon.
